Interview: Thilo Schneider.

Here is a podcast and an interview for „Little White Earbuds“ Ever since Jacob Korn’s scorching debut on Running Back, where his “I Like The Sun (But Not On LCD’s)” burned his name into minds like the aforementioned celestial sphere into retinas, he’s steadily been adding to his impressive discography, notching up releases for Permanent Vacation, Dolly and Uncanny Valley to name just a few. Although his presence was immediately felt with his first release, he had in fact been around under alternate nom de plumes for several years. His…read more

Detroit has had plenty of unofficial sister cities over the years: back in the ‘90s, Detroit and Berlin famously fused a “techno alliance,” as the title of an early Tresor compilation put it, and in more recent years, Amsterdam has kept flying the flag for Motor City soul. Still, Jacob Korn’s recent track “Dance Away” might have caught listeners off guard, as Kelli Hand reeled off a list of shout-outs to iconic Detroit producers before moving on to big up “all my Dresden house-heads.” Dresden? Really? But something is definitely bubbling…read more

Uncanny Heroes – Video

Posted by in Cross Media, Installations, News, Performances, Portfolio

UNCANNY HEROES is an interactive dancefloor installation, which masterly connects club visitors, dance music and surrounding 3D graphics. It is a highly participative mix between a music live act and gaming environment. With their body movements, visitors play on the installation like on a harmonic and cooperative instrument. Visual and musical moods on the dancefloor are created in a dialog among them and the performer. UNCANNY HEROES was developed by intolight, Jacob Korn and members of the VG Laterne collective during a one week workshop. Thanks go to Trans-Media-Akademie, F….read more
