New 12″ Various Artists – Uncanny Valley 002

Uncanny Valley entered the secene with a bang… and here they continue with an even bigger release! Jacob Korn ft Kelli Hand delivers a massive track… seriously!! C-beams (a collab between Break SL and Sandrow M), Credit 00 and Cuthead might not ring a bell… but they all come up with surprising and solid tracks that stand out! True quality house music from Dresden’s Uncanney Valley scene! Recommended.

Der Sommer, in dem das Dresdner Label Uncanny Valley mit dem ersten Release auf Festivals und in Clubs allerorten für Furore sorgte, ist längst vorbei. Endlich steht nun der Nachfolger an und abermals ist es eine Platte, die vier Dresdner Talenten Gehör verschafft. Wie schon bei Katalognummer #001 hat auch diesmal Paul Waak das Cover entworfen und sein Block-Party-Motiv könnte nicht besser passen.

Basic Soul Unit: Yup, Jacob played me a couple of these tracks when I was there. Killer and maybe even better than the 1st ep. My favourites are Jacob & Cuthead. Heat!!!

Johannes Albert (WHITE): Einmal die Dresden-Detroit-Achse, bitte! Super EP wieder, mein Favorit erneut Jacob Korn mit tatkräftiger weiblicher US-Unterstützung. Bei Facebook würde man sagen: “Gefällt mir”. Moment! Hab ich dazu nicht im Sommer in Olganitz getanzt?

Marcos Cabral / Runaway: Very nice! I like all the tracks, A1 being my least favorite.

Sevensol (Kann): hammer platte habt ihr da wieder gezimmert..habs 2 mal gehört und es wächst, die begeisterung meine ich. freu mich auf die platte.

Oliver Hafenbauer (Robert Johnson): Hammer Release!! Jedes Stück ist top! Bin ein Fan!

Dplay (Mild Pitch / Running Back): von vorne bis hinten dope…sehr sehr geiles release…dynamo house!

Manuel Tur (Mild Pitch /Freerange): Gelungener Volleyreturn auf Uncanny Valley! Auf der 002 stechen für mich besonders die beiden B-Seitentracks von Cuthead und Credit 00 heraus. Wieder ein rundum gelungener 4-Tracker für alle DJ-Lebenslagen.

San Soda (We Play House): even better than the first one; go Dynamo!

Mano Le Tough (Internasjonal / Dirt Crew): another excellent release from uncanny valley! love all four tracks! dresden in the house!

Jacques Renault (Runaway / DFA): Nice release! I like the first one too, nice well rounded EP I’ll be testing it out for sure…

Allez-Allez (allez-allez.co.uk): The tracks run a little too deep for my tastes unfortunately. Did like the shout out dor dresden in amongst all those detroit though.

Club Silencio: I really dig all the tracks, let me know when the vinyl is out !!

Baaz (Quintessentials): vielen dank noch mal! super platte. mein absoluter fav. ist “C-Beams-Thumbling” so ein wahnsinn!! die anderen tracks sind auch sehr schön. thanxx

um die ewig strapazierte feedback-formel noch auf die spitze zu treiben: full mega support & will play all the tracks twice in every set….
ne, im ernst: das ist mal wieder eine echt feine zusammenstellung geworden.
favoriten sind auf jedenfall die achse-detroit-dresden-hymne und c-beams analoger herzensbrecher.
auch gut: cuthead – aber, und jetzt kommts: finde das sample ein bisschen zu offensive, weil altbekannt. aber vielleicht ist dass ja auch der hiphop-ansatz, und mir banause ist’s mal wieder nicht bewusst.
so und zu guterletzt: prädikat “rätselhaft” dann für das vierte stück.

: Alter, die ganze EP ist gelungen. Am meisten spricht mich der Track von c-beams an, wobei alle Stücke super sind.

Julius Steinhoff (Smallville): die uncanny 2 ist wirklich wieder toll geworden!!

Maximilian Skiba: I definitely dig the release, the sound is well produced…i mean groovy and silky
my fav track is Jacob Korn

geiles release leude! my fav is credit 00, rest aber auch toll! nur jacobs track hätte ruhig auf abgelutschtes “credits to all my homies” gelaber verzichten können (imho)

A1 würde mir allerdings in einer Instrumental-version ohne „namedropping-vocals“ besser gefallen. Das wäre dann sogar der Track der Platte für mich….
Macht aber garnix – denn die anderen sind auch echt supi! Werd ich definitiv spielen!
